My dear friends, first of all, apologies for the technical difficulties for the last few weeks, I have got a jugaad for it. To bring this email in your primary folder from next week onwards, just reply back to this email, and that way the Gmail algorithm knows this is from one of your “friends/ colleagues” and will deliver this in your primary folder. Plus if you haven’t moved it manually from promotions to primary that will help as well. My sincere apologies for making you do the hard work on a Sunday, but kuch kar nahi sakte iska, just like the arrange marriage systems in India.
When my sister told me to watch Indian Matchmaking, I knew she is suggesting to me because it is cringeworthy and I will either laugh extremely or disgust it. But trust me I laughed at it, it was such a gossip material that I flooded some of the Whatsapp groups I am part of, and also all my video calls with friends were about this series. There is a scene where Akshay’s mom says “Tu shadi nahi kar raha hai, islie bada beta bacha nahi kar paa raha hai” and it is so illogical yet real. These things happen in the Indian families and people do treat marriage as a business partnership.
I cannot believe I watched Indian Matchmaking after DARK, my mind and brain aren’t functioning well.
I am not gonna comment if this is wrong or right, there is a reason why this newsletter is named ‘Relatively Correct’, so that you form an opinion yourself and I just present the facts to you. I am no one-sided, half baked knowledge sharing, millennial pleasing Faye D’Souza.
