How have you been? Well for me, I have been quite consumed these days with my workshop- my team and I have been planning a lot about it and I can’t wait to share it with the world. But well, more about it at the end, for now, enjoy this newsletter!

When I started out back in 2017, the content space was visibly undeveloped; opportunities were fewer, the community was not so well-knit, and there was so much unharnessed potential! It was a big leap of faith- to venture into such an uncertain field with 0 zero work stability and no secure income source. But over the years, things have drastically changed- the word influencer is no longer jargon in the world of social media, it has become colloquial. Today when I say that I am a content creator, I still get that weird look from boomers but still, it’s nothing compared to the huge list of questions people interrogated me with whenever they heard my job profile.
The term Content Economy makes so much more sense now; content is the new currency.
And all of us take part in this trade of content every day either as a consumer or a creator without conscious realization. The fact that you are reading this piece of content right now, proves my point. So where have we reached then? With content being such an integral part of our lives, where are we headed? The answer to this question can be unearthed by taking a closer look at people who have mastered the art of content and are building dollar empires through it directly.
MrBeast
MrBeast a.k.a Jimmy Donaldson started his youtube journey in 2012 at the age of 13. Today he receives more than 4 billion views a year. He currently runs 5 other channels- Beast Philanthropy, MrBeast Gaming, MrBeast Shorts, Beast Reacts, MrBeast 2. He has 90+ million followers across these channels. But his main focus according to him is his main channel, and he runs these tertiary channels to earn more revenue. So that he can funnel them into his main channel and fund his extraordinarily high productions ranging up to a million dollars per video. He develops a particular niche on every channel instead of fragmenting the narrative of his main channel because the quality and content of his main channel are non-negotiable for him.
In order to ensure enough revenue for his main channel, he also invests in various unique business ideas like MrBeast Burger, MrBeast Finger on the App, Beast Philanthropy, and most recently Creative Juice. Creative Juice is a 2 million dollars investment fund that will provide creators up to 250,000 dollars for a stake in their channels. The selected creators will be mentored by him personally. MrBeast believes that in the next 5 years, people will start investing on Youtube channels just like today we invest in stocks, he is just a bit ahead of the time in doing so.
His visionary execution of the different business plans with his youtube channel at the center is just the kind of innovation creators need today to be financially independent.
Tanmay Bhat
Tanmay Bhat is the OG content creator in India, from his glory days at AIB to his solo Youtube career today, he has defined and refined the content space in India many times. He is a comedian, a content creator, a writer, a vlogger- and his youtube channel with 3million + subscribers is a melting pot where all of his unique talents are blended together perfectly. He also has two tertiary channels - Superpumped, where he hosts interesting conversations by inviting guests from various niche fields and genres, and Honestly by Tanmay Bhatt, where he talks specifically about the stock market, personal financing, investments and tries to decode the world of business.
Tanmay also juggles other creative jobs; most recently he wrote the genius Cred ads along with Devaiah Bopanna and others from his AIB team. He also recently announced angel investments in Qoohoo, a platform that helps creators to monetize their followers. He is also an investor at Smallcase, a tech startup. Bhat is a true multipotentiality, pushing the boundary a little further with each new venture and it's refreshing to see an Indian Youtuber take such leaps!
BeerBiceps
Ranveer Allahbadia has carved a space for himself in the content ecosystem by creating niche content about self-help and self-improvement. Though he began as a fitness influencer he soon branched out to lifestyle, fashion, mental health, and entrepreneurship. Today he has more than 3 million subscribers on his main youtube channel. Ranveer just like MrBeast has 6 more tertiary youtube channels apart from his main channel each dedicated to building a unique loyal community.
He also hosts The Ranveer Show, a podcast that repeatedly tops Spotify lists and is growing every day in terms of its audience. He also recently struck an exclusive Spotify deal for the audio versions of the podcast. Ranveer is an angel investor of Ready Set Jet, an American beauty brand looking to India for expansion. He is the mastermind behind Monk-E, a creative digital media organization that unifies Talent Management, Video Production, and Influencer Marketing under one roof. He is also the co-founder of BigBrainCo. a platform curating content about fitness, career, money, relationships, growth hacks and so much more. Ranveer is rightly the millennial inspirational figure in the world of social media, his mind works in a million directions and he does justice to all of them!
CA Rachana Ranade
Rachana Ranade is a CA turned content creator, working in the niche of financial business with the aim of simplifying the Stock market. She has more than 2.6 million followers on her youtube channel where she uploads educational and analytical videos twice a week and holds a separate Q&A session every Thursday. She also creates exclusive content for Youtube which can be availed through three flexible subscription models ranging from 60 INR to 400 INR a month. Apart from that, she has already created 14 monetized courses, most of them with an audience rating of 5!
She also has her official app on both Apple and Google Playstore. That’s not all, she also has a fun merch line for her fans, publishes blogs on trending topics in the world of finance, and has an integrated Amazon Affiliate link setup for book recommendations on her website! It’s brilliant how she has branched out in so many different directions from a single niche, and I am sure she will surprise us more in the coming days with her innovative monetization game. She is one creator, surely worth following!
Vaibhav Sisinty
He is the ultimate growth wizard in India, he transforms startups into highly profitable businesses and consults clients to scale up their profits through genius vision. He started CrazyHeads, a digital media company at the age of 19, over the years he has donned many hats, flaunted many roles in companies like Uber and Klook. All the while being a mentor on E-learning platforms like upGrad and Mentor.
Perhaps his biggest superpower currently is his LinkedIn following of more than 290,000 people. His recurrent masterclass on LinkedIn has been a massive hit with more than 40K attendants to date. He has also amassed great fame as a Keynote speaker and has given talks across the country. Sisinty is the man we are earnestly bullish on, and I am eagerly waiting to know the “cool” things he is building at Stealth Mode.
Sometimes when I wonder about it all, I fail to wrap my head around the enormity of it all. It’s bizarre how a 10-mins youtube video today wields so much power; influence, revenue, reach! For most of human history, artists and creators have struggled to make meets end, depending on patronages and funds, and though today, not every creator is equally empowered still it’s mind-boggling how far we have come. Individual creators today have the opportunity to carve a space for themselves through their talents, to build million-dollar organizations just by pursuing their passion. And I am more grateful than I can ever express to be a part of this community.
And I strongly believe that every sincere creator can reach the same level by leveraging their creativity effectively. I have also observed that there’s a dearth of awareness and information amongst most Indian creators regarding the multitude of opportunities available at hand. Thus, I have decided to host a Masterclass on Monetization.
