Entering a new universe.
We are ready to solve one of the biggest problems in the startup ecosystem.
Hello People!
I hope you are planning already for the long weekend, but we want you to make this piece a part of your plans.
A few days ago I read an article called “Why everybody’s hiring but nobody’s getting hired” by Vox. Coincidentally it was also the time when I was actively involved in the hiring process at Pepper Content, I was meeting with prospective employees from various spheres every day, conducting interviews, and interacting over emails.
Over the last month, I have also made several recruitments for our Platform For Artists team. So somehow, the article kept coming back to me, and I am so glad I read it at a time when I needed the most perspective on the job market and the entire mayhem of hiring.
Months down the line, I have anecdotes of my own, things I have gathered, and lessons I have learned. The biggest perhaps reiterates the point mentioned clearly in the article, “Hiring lacks a human touch — sometimes literally”. And as I was pondering over the same, I realized that thanks to the dynamite of the creator economy, we have actually solved this problem.
Enter Talent Communities.
A talent community comprises a niche group of people with varied skillsets, job profiles, areas of expertise, and work experience, but they share a common affinity towards potential work opportunities in specific firms and organizations. The community is made up of passive applicants, as opposed to active job seekers, but they are often the most lucrative candidates for any organization hoping to hire. They are intended to have long tenures, which will help to rationalize investment in their growth.
Employee referrals are one of the most effective ways to reach passive applicants, and Talent Communities excel at it. Recruiters use talent communities to provide prospects with an authentic perspective about their organization by keeping members updated on company news and relevant employment possibilities. Establishing an active talent community provides organizations with a proactive approach to staying in touch with passive prospects and cultivating relationships until individuals are ready to explore new options within the firm.
And thus, most effectively solving the human touch problem.
We are harbouring our own talent community by curating a database of creative geniuses across verticals and fields.
