This is our first event!
Join us this Sunday to meet other members of Relatively Correct Publication.
My Dear Friends
I absolutely love doing charcha about politics and various socio-political events happening around us. Social media provides us with the ability to put forward our political opinions, to dissent about policies we don't agree with, to support the leaders we find worthy.
All of this is well and good but it is also important to remember that politics is not an isolated event that we choose to talk about only when it is convenient for us. I believe it is important to have a healthy ongoing dialogue about politics in our country. We should not restrict ourselves to performative wokeness just for the sake of social media.
I also feel that the conversation around politics is very polarised in recent times and young India is only viewing politics through this binary lens of black and white. To have a strong politically informed generation, we have to look at the grey area and understand its importance.
To do so, I will be in discussion with Shweta Shalini, Spokesperson of BJP Maharashtra, and a government policy implementation expert, she is also an entrepreneur, Indian tech ecosystem expert, blogger, and columnist. She has worked closely with women and youth groups in India.
This session is part of the Relatively Correct x Bolti Bandh collaborations and also an effort towards how to have meaningful conversations on the internet about polarised topics.
We will be discussing 'What Young India Doesn't Understand About Politics?' on the 29th of November at 5 pm IST.
This is an invite-only virtual event and if you want to be a part of this conversation click on the link below.
P.S If you are already a paid subscriber of Relatively Correct, you don’t have to register for the event, you will receive the zoom meeting link on Sunday in your inbox.
