I usually write this newsletter on a Saturday night and then schedule it for Sunday afternoon, but as soon as I saw the news I thought I will rewrite it with a message from my own experience.
Some of you already know this that in the month of April I took some time off from my work and even this newsletter, because I was going through some personal problems. My head was filled with self doubt, frustration, anger and the feeling of helplessness because of my work life.
When I saw Sushant Singh Rajput’s news today it hit me in a really anxious way and I remember I was talking to someone who is part of this newsletter when she was feeling suicidal. Never met her, don’t know her social media handles or anything just communicating through these emails since months. I am no therapist but I can be an active listener and I think that is a great help we all can offer individually to anyone in a tough time.
Something that I had shared in last week’s podcast episode was this statement by the Vietnamese artist who says
In the time of crisis, our job as artists is to draw.
and I would want to rewrite it
In the time of crisis, our job as humans is to be humane towards each other.
I am not adding things to read or watch or listen in this week’s newsletter because I feel it would be very insensitive of me to do that.
But you can find the two most important things I am doing this week on this link.
Take care you all and never hesitate to reply to these emails.
Stay Safe.
